Right at some point in the next couple of weeks I will be playing against Tom and his new Khador. I am assuming that we are going to play 15 points and so am thinking of running something like this -
Army Name: Vs Tom
Circle Orboros
15+6 points, 10 models
Morvahna the Autumnblade +6 points
* Feral Warpwolf 9 points
* Woldwyrd 5 points
* Druid Wilder 2 points
Blackclad Wayfarer 2 points
Shifting Stones 2 points
Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew 1 point
What do you think?

Snow Basing
I have finally gotten around to writing this -
You will need –
GW snow mix
A tea strainer or small sieve.
PVA glue
Clean water.
Starting with a base I have already painting and added a bit of static grass too (coming soon – basing with weathering pigments).
The first step is to liberally apply some watered down PVA glue to the top areas of the base.
Next take your tea strainer and gently apply a layer of snow to the base
It should be a fairly heavy coating, something like this.
Tap off the excess snow, leaving you with this.
This lays down a coat of thin snow that looks like it is slightly frosted.
Next mix up some snow mix with PVA glue and water it down a little, make sure you are using clean water otherwise it will stain the mix and not in a good way.
The mix should have the constituency of thick cream and is applied to the upper areas of the base and areas where snow would collect.
Once this is done give the base another dusting of snow mix, this is very important otherwise the top layer will end up looking like a sludge rather than snow fall.
And it should look like this.
Snow 8
Happy snow basing.

An update, sort of!
Sorry for the lack of updates lately.
My parents stole there camera back leaving me without a camera capable of macro photography, which sucks!
Have finished the Lord of the Feast and the Shifting stones and have now moved on to a Woldwatcher and a Woldwyrd.

Finished Swamp Gobbers
Finished them.
There is no highlighting on the model, it is all washes and glazes but it works really well and I am happy with them.

Sorry for the lack of an update last night!
Didn't really do much anyway.
Well I did a bit really! Assembled, primed and started painting the Shifting stones.
I think that they are going to be fairly quick and easy to paint and so should finish them tonight hopefully.

Paint Stripping - A sort of guide.
Right I will start this off by say that I forgot to take before photos and so have pulled them from eBay (as that is where I got the models from).
I brought 4 models that where not painted to my taste or even very well!
I brought 4 models that where not painted to my taste or even very well!
I have removed the bases, ending up only destroying 1 to get it off without breaking the model!
These have been left to soak in Superdrug own brand acetone free nail varnish remover. You may be asking why acetone free is important, well this can also be used for removing paint on plastic models without damaging them! I guess any brand of acetone free nail varnish remover would work, I have only used Superdrug as that is what the girlfiend had in the flat.
After they have soaked for a good amount of time, I like to leave metal models overnight you need to attack them with an old toothbrush to remove any paint from the detail areas.
After that rinse them throughly in cold water to remove any trace of the stripping and you should have a good as new model.
I will post up photos of the 4 models I have soaking at the moment later when I get home.

Swamp Gobbers
I only picked these up as they where cheap on eBay and looked fun to paint.
It also helped that I watched Labyrinth the other day and with that in mind started to paint and this is what I have got so far -

Win, slightly!
Just got home to discover my eBay purchases had arrived, which is good.
However there are 2 problems, first they are really badly painted and just wouldn't fit in with my current stuff and second it means more stuff to paint!
With this in mind I am putting the Malifaux models to the back and am going to work on the Hordes stuff.
Oh and I ordered some more bits from Maelstrom, Morhvanna, a Blackclad and a unit of shifting stones so they will end up in the pile of stuff to paint!
Will post some before and after photos of the paint stripping process.

Fail!
Batteries have just died in my camera!
I have finished the Carnivean, meaning now I have two fully painted Warpacks!
Feeling quite proud of my self at the moment.
Currently on the painting desk -
Swamp Gobbers x 2 - Started
Lord of the feast - Primed
Stinger - Started
Stinger - Still in pieces
I have also ordered some models from Maelstrom - A unit of Shifting stones, A blackclad wayfairer and Mohvanna all for my circle. This along with my eBay purchases (when they finally get here) of a Sheppard and 3 Spell Martyrs for my Legion should keep me painting for a little while.

Trying to grow a Warmahordes community
Started on my my next step of getting a Warmanchine / Hordes community going in Harlow last night by teaching Lenny the basics of the game.
We played a very basic game Legion vs Circle with a battlebox each and a couple of coasters on the coffee table as scenery.
And I think he liked it and may well take it up rather than 40k.
Really thinking about going for Press Ganger now, as soon as I finish the Legion battlebox.

Also base coated the flesh on the Carnivean, but havent taken any photos of it yet.

Better?
I Like the hair colour a lot more now, also painted the metal on the weapon and washed it.
Just the face to do some more work on and the weapon highlights and then I will have finished my Circle Battlebox!
Not so sure
Done a little work on Kaya this morning although I am not so sure about the base hair colour, I may try to dull it down a bit with a couple of brown wash`s
What do you lot think?

Done a little bit on the shredders, still not happy with the colour. I just can not match it with the 2 other Shredders I have painted.
